The One that Got Away

If you follow me on Instagram (@savitrayvette) you may remember a post I made about the shirt that I let get away. Well I tried on this cute blue strip ruffle sleeve top that I take myself our of getting, because at the time I didn’t have a supportive strapless bra. Two weeks later, I found the perfect strapless bra  (where are emojis when you need them). Needless to say, I regretted not purchasing the top.

Surprisingly, I got a second chance at purchasing a very similar top, and trust I did not make the same mistake twice. I’ve always been a fan of off the shoulder tops, but not having the right bra ruined those moments for me, well until now. Check out my sexy tops!! The 1st top on the is the one that got away 😦2017-06-02-193300-IMG_4765

A little Friday Shopping at the Maxx

I now have a slight obsession with T.J. Maxx. If you’ve been following my blog, you would remember there was a point, where I cursed this store and the people who shopped there ( not really..lol). After a few successful trips to T.J. Maxx, I’m really falling in love with this place. The quality of their clothes are better than Ross and DD’d Discounts ( are you familiar with this store?..lol). Marshall’s clothes are ok, but I can’t remember the last time I brought something from this store… well I brought something and not take it right back. But enough of my endless rants.

This past Friday, I took a trip to the Maxx and scored some great items. Because I deleted all the picture from my phone, I’m not able to show all of the amazing pieces I brought for $50.00, but I do have a few shots of my floral top that I did a mini shoot in. I went for a casual laid back look with lots of attitude. Check them out below:

ISSA LIME

As much as I hate the term “Issa” I felt this was a sure way to catch the attention of readers…Pretty clever huh? Last weekend I went to a fundraising event held at one of Atlanta’s Elegant Mansions. Before you ask, no I do not have pictures of the mansion (I know I’m lame..lol) but I do have a picture of what I wore to the mansion party.

I’m noticing a pattern with myself. I never have any cute dresses to wear to events. Why you ask?.. because I love rompers and prefer pants. I’m now realizing that I need to add to my wardrobe. But enough about the woes of my wardrobe. Let me grace you with my Lime Ruffle tube dress….. matched with Jessica Simpson “Powder Nude Shoes”

Sorry Amazon, you can’t take the credit for this outfit 🙂

Show A “Lil” Leg….

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again ” I AM THE ROMPER QUEEN.” I  have no idea when this obsession started but I’m in too deep. So of course I logged onto my favorite shopping site (Amazon.com) to see what they had. After about 45 mins and 6 items in my cart, I came across what seemed to be a long dress with a front split and some shorts. I was intrigued and to my surprise it was a romper!!! JACKPOT! After a quick 10 second decision, I removed the previous six items out of my cart to make room for the beautiful romper I’d just found.

Two perfect Amazon Prime days later my order had arrived. I unwrapped my package and with great anticipation, proceeded to try on this new outfit. I thought I was in love when I saw it online, once I tried it on, I was mesmerized. But enough about my story let’s take a look at the romper!

I don’t know about you, but one of the things I enjoy more than anything is making people feel good about themselves and life. Many people are hurting and really just need inspiration to get them going and to the next phase of there life. We all may not have someone in our “corners” cheering us on. Sometimes you have to be a cheerleaders for other and teach them how to be a cheerleader for themselves.

If you are ever in a position to make someone feel great, even if its for a moment, do it. That one small gesture or kind word, could changes their lives in ways you could never imagine 🙂 Don’t keep all the happiness to yourself…SHARE!!!!

Wait…..T.J. Maxx!

If you ask anyone that I know. Thy well tell you that I am not a fan of two stores in particular: Target and TJ Maxx. I never find the “deals” that people always rave about. This all changed on last Thursday, when I made a last minute decision to look for a jumpsuit. One thing you must understand about me: ‘I AM THE JUMPSUIT QUEEN” (especially a jumpsuit with pockets). So, I decided to venture to TJ Maxx on my lunch break, as I’m looking around at all the items I would not bye, I found this lovely floral print print jumpsuit, in my size. Let’s just say that outfit came home with me. Most of my jumpsuits have been $30.00 but I paid $24.99 for it. It fits perfectly, it has pockets and I am in love with it. But enough talking, let me show you my new boo!!

What’s The Hype About

If you have been on social media within the past month, then you are aware of the obsession with a new strapless/backless bra that women are going crazy over. Though I’m trying to narrow down the originator of this new item, replicas of this high demand piece of lingeria are being sold in various boutiques both in-store and online.

As a stylist my job is to stay abreast of new trends and since I’ve been trying to find a good strapless bra for my DD cups, I decided to get in on the action. Yesterday, I decided to  purchase one of these bras, skeptical of it actually working, I’m still willing to give it a try. I will definitely keep you posted on the outcome of wearing this bra!! Stay TUNED!!

Shein Again

Hello Hello. So I haven’t made a post in what seems like forever…my apologizes, but I have some good stuff for you today. I made a post last month on an item I brought and got pretty good feedback.  Today, I want to share a purchase I made for a beautiful floral sundress. This dress is amazing and I absolutely love it!

I like the versatility of this dress. You can wear it to a wedding or casually with a pair of cute sandals or flats. Everyone as asked where they can purchase this dress (Shein.com). I did standard shipping. I placed my order  on March 27th and the dress didn’t arrive until April 8th, just a heads up.
